The Fiemme Valley

Fiemme Valley is one of the most beautiful valleys of the Dolomites in Trentino and extends between the mountains of the Lagorai and Latemar, along the Avisio stream.

The population of this territory is particularly linked to their own land and, in the twelfth century started a particular form of self-government which still exists today called “La Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme”.

Fiemme Valley is also one of the favorite places for mountain-lovers and promises a tourism offer of inestimable value thanks to the FiemmE-Motion card.

The magic peaks of the Dolomites

The Dolomites are a mountainous complex, geologically uniform mainly consisting of dolomite rock. In 2009, they became one of the heritage sites of UNESCO by virtue of its beauty, of the uniqueness of the landscape, and of the morphology.

Their name comes from the French naturalist Déodat de Dolomieu (1750-1801): he was the first to study this type of rock, which was then called dolomite.
The Dolomites are constituted of mountainous subgroups and the main ones are: the Sesto Dolomites,  Braies, d’Ampezzo, Dolomites di Zoldo Dolomites di Gardena and Fassa, the Dolomites di Feltre, the Pale di San Martino, and the Dolomiti di Fiemme.

These territories belong to the Eastern Italian Alps and are between the Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige, and Friuli.
These places are characterized by a wonderful play of colors which in fact alternate between the white of the rocks, the green of the meadows, the blue of the lakes, the various shades of pink and purple of the Enrosadira, and the thousand colors of the flowers that bloom in the spring.

The itineraries, at the disposal of tourists, are many and these include, for example, Fiemme Valley, Val Badia, Val Gardena, Dolomiti Bellunesi, Dolomites Ampezzane and Val di Fassa.
